   Ben,
   Suggestion for your traffic plan. Add and improve lane miles. This helps traffic flow.
   You can drive faster on a smooth road compared to a cobblestone pothole road. Repave all major roads and freeways. The Kinau off ramp, Waimalu widening H1, Puuloa Rd redesign all improved traffic. Swapping Piikoi and Pensacola? With billions to spend, an alternative is to improve roadways at key spots. Some money could buy private land to convert to raods. Last look at changing on street parking. The road is for the majority public good not a select few parking spots. Increase the distance of no parking zones by intersections. Change no parking time zones like on King for longer hours. Maybe 3pm to 6:30 rather than 3:30 to 5:30. There are so many small items that could have a big effect when combined together. Rail is a waste of public money that could be better spent on other items.

   I just realized why a people are supporting RAIL to move FORWARD. If it goes backward then it would spell LIAR.

   I think there is one way to reduce car traffic on the main roadways, and freeways. In the states, trailers, tractor trailers and bus traffic alll use the right lanes. Stop and go traffic on the freeway is basically caused by trucks using the left speed lanes or middle lanes. If you have all those trucks use the right lane during rush hours or even make it a law, the traffic would move more smoothly, damage to roads would be kept to a minimum and road repairs would not be as much.

   Think about, the roads in the mainland are well kept, and traffic although back-up during rush, trucks are not in the way to make things move slower……
